Historia

Cómo surgió

The waterfall is fed by mountain streams that gather above the Grunas hamlet and fall over the lip of the canyon. Both the falls and the Grunas Canyon below — roughly 2 km long and up to 60 m deep — have been a protected natural monument of Albania since 2002, and the whole valley lies within the Alps of Albania National Park. It has been a favourite stop since Theth opened up to hikers, and the path to it is one of the first walks most visitors do in the valley.

Lo que verás

En la visita

The tall, narrow cascade and the pool at its base, the ferns and moss on the surrounding rock, and the views back over the valley from the trail. The Grunas Canyon, cut into the rock below, is close by.

Cómo visitarlo

A signed trail climbs from the village toward the Grunas hamlet; the walk takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour each way over rising ground. Wear proper shoes.
