Het seizoen loopt ongeveer van juni tot september, en de beste gastenhuizen zitten vol in juli en augustus — boek op tijd. Buiten het seizoen sluiten de meeste gastenhuizen en kan de bergweg door sneeuw geblokkeerd raken.
Regel halfpension (diner en ontbijt) bij het boeken — met weinig eetgelegenheden in het dorp is dat hoe de meeste mensen eten. Neem voldoende Albanese lek contant mee, want kaartbetaling is zelden mogelijk in het dal.

Er is geen vliegveld bij Theth. Het dichtstbijzijnde is Tirana, uren verderop via Shkodër. Je verblijft in het dal zelf — ofwel bij de kerk en het dorpscentrum, ofwel in een van de omliggende gehuchten.
In het hoogseizoen (ongeveer juni tot september) zitten de beste gastenhuizen vol, dus boek op tijd, vooral in juli en augustus. Buiten het seizoen sluiten de meeste gastenhuizen en kan de bergweg door sneeuw afgesloten zijn.
Niet binnen het dal — je verplaatst je te voet, en paden verbinden het dorp met de watervallen en gehuchten. Een auto (of een furgon) is alleen van belang om überhaupt de bergweg vanaf Shkodër op te komen.
