Almost everything in Theth costs you a walk. The waterfall is an hour up the hill, the Blue Eye is most of a day down the valley, and the pass to Valbonë is a full one. The zipline is the exception, and it is the only thing in the valley that puts you above the river without a single step of ascent.
The price is where people get caught. The figure you are quoted depends entirely on who you ask, and the spread between the cheapest and the dearest quote is wider than the ticket itself.
The numbers, and where each one comes from
We checked the operator's own site, thethizipline.al, on 14 September 2026, alongside four resellers and the Google listing. They do not agree, and the disagreement is the useful part.

The lek price is the one to hold on to. 2,500 lek is what the people who run the line charge, and every euro figure above that is somebody's margin. Bring the cash in lek. What things cost in Theth explains why almost nothing in the valley takes a card.
Why the quotes differ so much
Nobody is being dishonest. Theth's zipline is sold three ways and each adds something.
Direct. You message the operator, turn up, pay 2,500 lek. This is the cheapest and it is also the only channel where the price is fixed.
Through your guesthouse. Most of the village desks will arrange it, and Hotel Alpet lists it at around €22 a head alongside guides, hiking and quad trips. The convenience is real if you have no Albanian SIM and the signal is patchy, which it often is. See phone signal and wifi in Theth.
Through a booking site. Two of the sites we checked quote €34 and €45. Those are packaged prices and sometimes include a transfer, but if you are already staying in the valley you are paying a premium for a booking you could make on WhatsApp in a minute.
What the ride is
Twelve hundred metres of cable, strung down the valley above the river, the forest and the gorge. Two people go at once on parallel lines, which matters more than it sounds. It is the difference between watching your friend disappear and going together. A shuttle runs between the two ends, so the ride does not leave you with the climb back.
The base sits on Rruga Gjecaj, on the valley floor at roughly 42.4012° N, 19.7658° E, a short walk from the village centre and the church. If you are driving yourself in, the road is its own subject. The SH21 to Theth is paved now and still a mountain road.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
Worth it if you have a spare hour, you are travelling with someone who does not hike, or you have already walked yourself out and want one more thing from the valley.
